Michael C. Kuehner

Michael Kuehner is a trial attorney in the firm’s litigation division. His practice includes general litigation matters with an emphasis on commercial litigation, personal injury, white collar criminal cases and property loss claims. Prior to joining Grefe and Sidney, Michael worked in legislative policy and appropriations in the United States Senate. Michael also clerked in the Iowa Attorney General’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa.

In addition to adversarial litigation, Michael also advocates for clients in a number of areas outside of the courtroom. He has represented parties in front of administrative agencies, during civil and criminal investigations, and advised political candidates at the state and federal level.

Michael is a member of the American Bar Association, the Iowa Bar Association, the Polk County Bar Association, the Polk County Volunteer Lawyers Project, the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Black Stone Inn of Court.

In Des Monies, Michael stays involved in the community as a member of the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer for the Everybody Wins Reading Mentorship Program.
