Sean Corpstein is a partner in the firm’s litigation division. Sean’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation, trial work, appellate practice, and white collar criminal defense. He represents clients in state and federal courts, including, when necessary, trying cases to verdicts and maintaining those verdicts on appeal.
In his civil practice, Sean represents individuals and businesses in a wide-array of matters, including breach of contract, business disputes, bad faith, dram shop, employment, false claims act, health law, products and premises liability, administrative matters, homeowner’s associations, personal injury, and wrongful death.
In his criminal practice, Sean represents individuals and businesses in white collar matters. Although Sean’s practice focuses on assisting clients on issues related to health care and finance/banking, he also represents clients facing other charges, including government regulation, immigration, and conspiracy. In addition, Sean is a member of the Criminal Justice Act Federal Defender Panel.
Sean is a member of the Polk County Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Prior to joining Grefe and Sidney, Sean clerked for Chief District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand in the Northern District of Iowa.
