We are pleased to announce that Sam McMichael and Rachel Morgan have joined Grefe & Sidney, P.L.C.
Sam McMichael earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Wartburg College before graduating with highest honors from Drake University Law School in May of 2021. While in law school, Sam practiced as a student attorney in the entrepreneurial division of the Drake Legal Clinic where he assisted clients in establishing successful for profit and nonprofit enterprises. Sam also served as the Production Editor on the Editorial Board of the Drake Law Review and was a member of the Delta Theta Phi law fraternity.
Sam was recently admitted to the Iowa State Bar and joins the Trial Division at Grefe & Sidney. His practice will include, but is not limited to, insurance coverage and defense, labor and employment, products liability, business litigation, and other civil litigation. Outside of practicing law, Sam enjoys a variety of outdoor recreational activities including golf, running, and softball.
Rachel Morgan attended the University of Northern Iowa where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in sociology and criminology. Rachel graduated from Drake University Law School in May of 2021. During her time in law school, Rachel was published in the Drake Law Review, served as the secretary of the Moot Court Board, and was a research assistance for Professor Robert Rigg. Rachel was also a student attorney at the Drake Legal Clinic in the Wrongful Convictions Clinic and the Criminal Defense Program, where she was awarded the Robert J. Kromminga Award in recognition of her strong client representation and advocacy.
Rachel was recently admitted to the Iowa State Bar and joins the firm’s Trial Division. Rachel’s practice will include, but is not limited to, insurance defense, federal criminal defense, and white collar criminal litigation.
