Andy Hall and Ben Erickson recently represented a local veterinarian who pulled out from a stop sign and didn’t see an oncoming car, resulting in a high-speed collision. Plaintiffs were represented by a law firm out of Ogden, Utah. Plaintiffs claimed damages from a shattered knee cap and broken wrist, resulting in multiple surgical procedures and hardware placement. Plaintiffs offered expert medical testimony addressing the severity of the injuries, their ongoing symptoms, and need for future surgeries.

In their closing argument, Plaintiffs asked the jury to award $4,000,000.00 in total damages. After an hour and a half of deliberations, the jury returned a total verdict of $140,000.00. Prior to proceeding to trial, the defense had offered over $425,000.00 to resolve the claims, which was rejected.
